Nykredit, one of Denmark's leading financial services providers, has invested in a SolarDrive S2E roof for their electric Melex utility car used for internal transportation in the main facility and for distribution purposes between offices around the city of Copenhagen.

Chauffeur of the car is Henrik Jørgensen who drives the car approx. 8 km/5 miles per day with speeds up to 30 km/h. After just a few months of testing the management has been convinced of the electric cars advantages and more cars are expected to follow in the near future.

This particular car is not of the newest breed and will soon be exchanged to a more modern car. At that time the SolarDrive roof can be easily transferred and continue its power production on the new vehicle.

The solar powered car fits the green policy of Nykredit perfectly, a policy which is also mirrored in the new crystal building at Kalvebod Brygge - housing the Nykredit headquarters.
